Coldplay Proposal Goes Viral with 50,000 Views!

If you’ve been on Facebook in the last week, you more than likely have come across a post related to Coldplay’s concerts at Wembley as part of their most recent tour. What you may have also come across is a chap who got on one knee and proposed in the middle of the crowd during the gig!

A guy called Brad Schofield popped the question to girlfriend Marie Parlanti during Colplay’s performance of “Fix You”. As fans began singing along, Marie said “Yes” to Brad and the fan footage was shot and uploaded to YouTube, amounting to a huge 50,000 plus views since Saturday June 18, the day after the super proposal.

The couple are said to have been together for seven years and plan on sealing the deal in the summer of 2018.

So why during the Coldplay concert? (other than it being a wicked way to do so!)

Originally, Schofield, from South London, planned to propose during a weekend away in Brighton, but his future wife caught wind of it. So, he thought he’d take the ring along to the Coldplay gig to find the right moment.

He also chose to “Fix You” as the song to get on one knee as he and Parlanti are fans of the BBC sitcom Gavin And Stacy, in which Pete quotes “Fix You” while he and Dawn renew their marriage vows. Very touching!

Coldplay have just recently finished their residency at Wembley Stadium and head to Glastonbury to headline on Sunday. The band’s final UK show of 2016 takes place at Kensington Palace on Tuesday June 28 when they headline a show produced by Prince Harry’s charity Sentebale.
