Justin Timberlake Set to Become a Part of “Netflix and Chill”

He may have been out of the limelight for a bit longer than expected after his comeback album “20/20 Experience”, but Justin Timberlake is back on the small screen this October. Fans can catch the whole of his 20/20 Experience World Tour concert on film via Netflix. Now, we all love a “Netflix and Chill” session, but will you be tuning into watch JT’s last tour…?

The film was directed by Oscar-winning director Jonathan Demme, who shot Timberlake and The Tennessee Kids in Vegas, during the finale of the tour which took place over 134 cities, running from November 2013 to January 2015. If those figures weren’t enough for you, then know this – the tour amassed a huge £174.8 million in ticket sales alone. Wowza.

Featuring in the film are the aforementioned 25-strong backing band “The Tennessee Kids”. The world première will feature at the Toronto International Film Festival later this month.

This isn’t a new thing for JT, having been filmed live on HBO during his “Future/Sex LoveShow” tour in 2007, which was also released on DVD.

So why did the Oscar-winning Director, Demme, seem the obvious choice for the show? Well, aged 72, he has a background in popular concert films after documenting Neil Young back in 2006. As well as this, he is a seasoned Hollywood movie-maker. He is best known for directing The Silence of the Lambs back in 1991, for which he won his Oscar for Best Director.

Actually interested in watching this show on Netflix? Then hold out until October 12th to watch the stream of the concert!
